ZIPNIC
The University of Akron's Associated Student Government hosts the annual ZIPNIC for the school and the community.
In the University’s ongoing efforts to facilitate connection with the community surrounding campus, The University of Akron is sponsors a ZIPNIC. All University of Akron students and community residents (and their guests) living south of Exchange Street are invited. This gathering allows students and community residents of the University Park Neighborhood south of campus to have fun together, strengthen community, learn more about personal safety, enjoy games, music and food, get information from community organizations, and enhance connection to The University of Akron.
ZIPNIC is sponsored by many University of Akron departments and organizations, as well as University Park businesses, so that it can be provided free of charge to attend.
