Parking at The University of Akron

The University of Akron has revitalized its campus and increased access to parking through its New Landscape for Learning initiative.

UA parkingTo help find your way around campus, The University of Akron provides this campus map.

Unless you have already made arrangements for parking, The University of Akron recommends that visitors park in the gated visitor lot on Buchtel Avenue, which is located under Robertson Dining Hall and across from the new commuter parking deck. Look for a large Visitor Parking sign.

If you want to purchase a parking permit for the day, go directly across the street to the Parking Services Office or call 330-972-7213 for information.

The free Roo Express shuttle service is available to transport visitors to many locations on campus. Riders must either present a valid Zipcard, be accompanied by someone with a valid Zipcard, or contact the Parking Services Office to make arrangements.

Parking meters are also available in many lots and on streets around campus. Meters are not monitored on weekends and after 6 pm on weekdays.
