Our Funding
UPA receives major funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. To further its funding base beyond the Knight foundation, UPA is developing its long term funding strategy around a strategic four-pronged approach:
- The development of a special improvement district (SID)
- Seeking competitive grants
- Revenue from real estate development activities
- Revenue from social enterprise development and UPA owned business operations
