METRO Downtown Transit Center
For those who do not or cannot drive, Akron's METRO Downtown Transit Center is conveniently located on the edge of University Park.
Completed in 2009, the METRO Downtown Transit Center serves as a hub for regular line service buses and passengers.
The Transit Center features a full-service METRO ticket counter, a cafe, year-round art displays, WiFi access, and space to relax while waiting for a bus. Non-profit organizations can also book the community room for events and meetings, free-of-charge. You can also link to services from Greyhound, PARTA and SARTA for trips beyond Summit County.
