Community/Civic Engagement Development
A diverse group of people make up the University Park experience, and we strive to assure they regularly engage with one another in meaningful ways.
To reinforce neighborhood identity, strengthen bonds, and attract outside interest and involvement, we highlight and celebrate the University Park neighborhood by participating in community and civic engagement activities designed to build a strong and resilient community. We support several major annual events that effectively engage the community in University Park:
- Zipnic: an annual community/university picnic
- UPA Annual Luncheon
- Urban Innovators Speakers Series
- Competitive grants that support community and civic engagement activities designed to build a strong resilient community
